Love it!

I absolutely love this game! The graphics, the sound, and the gameplay are all spot on. I'm very impressed with the amount of detail that went into this. In other hands, this might have come out as an enjoyable enough game, but you've really made it live and breath. Awesome work!

Potential Here

Heh, when they smell weakness, they come running, don't they?

It's set up like a strategy game, but it's lacking in actual strategy. Perhaps if it were turn based, with enemy types having specific move patterns and distances they could travel in a single move -- modelled after chess pieces, say -- instead of being a quasi-melee, hit and run sort of thing ...

I don't know, but it's an interesting start to something. I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Thanks for the suggestions, you're also not the first person to suggest the different move types in the game, and the thing I struggled with when thinking of an implementation of the additional moves was how to represent them in a way that's not confusing to new players.

Due to this being a port, and the mindset I was in while writing it, it's not very scalable or maintainable so I don't see myself putting much more, if any time into additional development, but I will keep these in mind if I make another similar game.

Really Very Neat

Sort of a choose your own adventure. It would be interesting to see you take this style and approach to make an actual adventure game, or maybe something in the escape the room genre. Well done for what it is presently; I hope to see you develop the idea further.

Good first effort

I do love just blasting the holy bejeebus out of things, so well done there, but giving the player goals as a reward for time invested in playing is a big part of gaming, and you haven't satisfied that. Also, presentation is important, and you've only marginally satisfied that. Polish is badly needed, but you have the potential to make something great, I think, so do keep at it, and find greatness by reaching for what you feel is beyond your ability, and by interpreting conventions through your own unique lens. Looking forward to seeing what you devise in the near future.

It has potential

Though lacklustre in the realisation, this has potential. The graphics have a cartoonish charm, and I especially like the way the cannon does that cartoon standard squishy thing as it powers up to fire.

However, the enemy targets move far too quickly to make the cannon practical, and the scale of the playing field is far too narrow. It's an unrewarding game as it is presently, but with a bit of work, thought, and time put into, this could be a fun game, even if a Balloon Invasion clone.

Mediocre overall. Aspire to majesty.

Top Notch

Wonderfully addictive game. The learning curve, if it can be called that, takes all of a single round, and by then the player is hooked. The interface is well thought out and easy on the eyes, and each round is challenging no matter how well one did the round before.

Excellent work. I've added this to my favourites.

Cute

Well, bit of a problem with the start, as you've already been made aware, but once it gets going, it's pretty cute. With the addition of a personalised message, this would make a neat e-card.

yeah I plan to fix it.
and thank you!^w^

Not Bad, but Could Use a Bit of Tweaking

The one main feature in particular missing from the game is the lack of a Split option. I also found the betting system to be a bit off, as the values changed from hand to hand, but that could be more to do with me than anything else, as I prefer the "betting chips" way of doing it.

But apart from that, it played well enough, and I did like the ragtime music you chose. Nicely done, just not fully realised.

One of My Favourite Zombie Games

This is one of my all-time favourite zombie games. I foist this on anyone and everyone every Halloween. It's so much fun, and if you'll excuse my saying so, it's so cute. One of my favourite -- and possibly the most subtle -- aspects of the game is the way in which overkill causes the zombies to fall apart like poorly stitched together dolls.

Awesome!

Soothing

Despite all the obstacles to avoid, and all the gems to collect, and having to fight bosses, and generally encountering the sort of things that make for a frantic game, I found this to be absolutely soothing. It's no wonder you got lost in it while testing.

And the music choices were excellent. Nice work.
